This area of the web site will contain reviews of books
(and occasionally other resources like DVD's)
that I hope you will find useful.
As you may know, finding good reference materials that are applicable to your specific level of development can sometimes be difficult. Some books may sound promising but turn out to offer little substance. Some may be an excellent introduction but not offer much for the advanced practitioner or vice-versa. There may even be some out-of-print books that you were not even aware of that have exactly the information that you are looking for.
I will add reviews of books from my personal collection to this area as time permits.
I will group the reviews by category, and offer a quick overview on this page with a link to a more detailed review,
including (when possible) an image of the cover and a link to where you can purchase the book online, if it is available.

The Third Eye, By T. Lobsang Rampa |

I highly recommend all the books by T. Lobsang Rampa, and there are a lot of them! This one is the first in the series and reads somewhere between a fantasy novel and the autobiography of a Tibetan Lama. While it doesn't have a lot of practical advice that *we* can use in the way of psychic development, the author paints a fascinating and detailed picture of life in Tibet, as well as the occult and spiritual lifestyle of the monks in a Lamasary. This is a fun book to read, and does have a few real gems between the covers that make it worth checking out. |

Newton's Dark Secrets (DVD produced by Nova) |
3.5out of 5 |
|
|
This is a fascinating and beautifully produced DVD on the life and contributions of Sir Isaac Newton, the genius who invented Calculus and changed our way of thinking about Physics, Optics, Heavenly Bodies and Gravity. Apparently, turning the scientific community of his day upside down was not enough, and he spend the later years of his life in the pursuit of something greater than math or science: The dream of truly mastering the forces of life and nature through the study of Alchemy. The DVD is highly recommended, but there just aren't enough details on the Alchemy aspects to give this a higher score in our context. |

This book is currently out of print, but occasioally still available at Amazon. It is an outstanding reference book with research and techniques derived from Alchemy, Rosicrucianism, Yoga, and Medieval Magic. This book is one of true gems in my occult collection and I can't recommend it enough! |

Rarely have I been so excited to on seeing a books cover and so disappointed on reading its content. The authors ramble all over the place and give little if any useful information or insights for actually developing the ability. |
